Default Skill Point Question

Sorry for another Newbie Question, but from what I can understand, the skill points you earn are based on XP only, and you can still get skill points even after you reach the cap level. What's the rate at which you gain a skill point based on XP? For example, I know that refund points are gained everytime you reach 250 XP. Also, is there a max limit to the amount of skill points you can have at a time?

Skill points work as such:

Every level you gain, you get 1 skill point. After level 20, it takes approximately (not positive cause Im not in game) 15000 xp every skill point. As far as I know, there is no cap on skill points. You also get skill points by completing objectives in missions. Both the Primary, and Secondary objectives in missions will earn you 1 skill point, so that is 2 per mission. You can also gain skill points by gaining rank in PvP. To gain rank, you must gain Fame, and to gain fame, you must win battles in the HoH. 1000 Fame will earn you Rank 6 and 6 Skill points.

I hope that helps.

Thanks Primeval, it does help. I'm just a little worried, cause I don't want to go skill shopping crazy and buy every skill I run into and then end up with no skill points to buy something important.

Well you should never go crazy with the skill shopping, regardless of how many skill points you have.

I only buy abilities that I know I will use. As I play, and get more familiar with how abilities work together, I travel back to the skill trainers and check their lists again to see if there is a gem in there that I had previously ignored.

It's a system that works very well for me.
